Private Groups

Strangely enough I have had group choy for a very long time & kept it private since I also use it as a kind of diary.  I can invite anyone into it by disclosing the password. If someone I invite gives away the password I can ask an administrator to change it to a new one & that should lock out those I suspect violated my confidence.  I can also delete the residue of such lack of my confidence & inform those I still trust back into the group by giving them my new password.  Currently with the new ability to change the password I see no problem. Other artifacts can obtain: domains, public groups, focus groups & things which facebook & G+ already have can happen but over-complication for secrecy seems strange for someone who wants to go on the Internet.

And yet, while you are in group choy, with or without another, you are still subject to the global party … hence, no focus. Making thoughts private does not a focus make.

Would it help if “focus groups” just did not have “the river” button on their tool bar?
Well actually no, which goes along with that I would not want focus group thoughts to be private. That’s the part of things I would not change in my own focus groups, though I can see that being a viable option for those who do desire it.
