I want to see what doubling the vertical space between thoughts in all room feels like.

wizzard  … so the space between thoughts would look pretty much like space between the tool bar and the header.   The reason is that we want to empasize the separation between thoughts as they scroll by.  I just want to try  it out … see how we like it … or not.

looks good on mobile too yes.   but it does show that the padding at the top of a thought should be the same regardless of whether it is titled only with a about-title or a full title.

I have been keeping the css fairly clean, but it still needs a full go-over. There are plenty of holes and old css that is still around affecting things.

The point of trying is more to take a look at the unified quad and properties editor which allows editing individual quad items as well as CSS and JSON.
yes i saw that … kudos indeed heart

funny, on a desktop it could loose 5-10 pixels. pondering
ok … now it is 60 pixels between thoughts smug … i think i will leave it there for a while … and now going to look on my phone and see how it feels there.

sure could loose …but  its about making thoughts separate as they come to you in the river and in rooms … they are connected by their taggings and liinks … not by adjacency.   and these pixels really cost us nothing.

Just realize that editing these settings has the same issues as editing a thought. You can I can collide if we both edit at the same time. I won’t edit the “display styles” for a while so you can play with that one … and let me know when you are done.
incidentally how you implemented the settings … and even the CSS settings … in quads was supurb … no explanation was even necessary … worked flawlessly … kudos indeed yes

i am thought for now with drinking with settings … so i don’t need to fork you.

Thanks. I tied together 4 different 3rd party editors into a seamless quad editing system by utilizing the new on-the-fly plugin loading framework. The CSS and JSON editors are fully syntax highlighted and do real time error checking of the structure while you edit it. I can even add intelli-sense for the css sheet values when I feel like it … it uses the Ace editor and there is a plugin for that somewhere.

It seemssurprise different for the news than the river.

Yes. As we have talked about before. The news needs to de-bloat, not bloat more. It needs to become a notify dropdown like at FB eventually.

This is why these things are best left to designers, not everyday users. Designers have to consider more things than daily users will ever know exist, or ever want to.

In my 30+ year career at QA of things, considerably more complex than this, I have found the opposite, Seth – but that was with systems that started with some kind of specs & products that were sold. Evolution sometimes produces sea-horses. Cute little creatures but hard to saddle!laughingtuit
nathan@fbi 2016-01-10 12:53:11 [item 19544#41466]
It is neither evolution or original spec that actually produces what you experience. It is pure law of attraction. You will experience what you design with your thoughts, never more, never less. The vibrations of your thoughts form a matrix and the world you perceive fills it. At the moment, you have drawn in a great design team … how much that manifests into your experience is entirely dependent on how much you mis-match between your observation and your manifestation.
i tend to like totally agree here.

the old structre of writing specifications and continually testing and holding to them will yield nothing by already canned experiences.  that is not what is happening here.    what is happening here is amazing.
