ability to bookmark at del.icio.us direct from the edit screen

There should be a check mark on the add / edit screen that says in effect: take the tags from this item, the title, the about title, and the first n words from the body and communicate with the delicious api to make a book mark there.

do you need an account with del.icio.us first ?
..Yes.  we could handel that as follows:
  • if your posting group has a group recorded in its options, then use that
  • otherwise use the domain default delicious group

LDAP is basically a directory service (maybe something we could consider for our global Author stuff). The reference s/b is google LDAP.

it has been a long standing wish of mine that tag rooms be global to the whole internet.  I resent the fact that an item tagged on one folksonomy domain is just visible in that domain.  I have the tag "tagroom.global" at  del.icio.us where i have collected some of those memes.  And now we have [tag tagroom.global] here too.

The thing about a tag is that it is a unique string.  The use of a tag does not require dis-ambiguifying by domain.
