Graffiti

Graffiti on thoughts reminds me of graffiti everywhere – (mental giants all laughing sarcasm intended)
some is interesting, but most of it is just egos egooing depleted nutritional organic material.

Darn straight! World beatification! Our Play Nexus tribe has left so much of it from coast to coast on our travels last year. It is amazing how much one can do with just a little paint! Love it!!

p.s. Under overpasses is the best spot in case your looking. That’s our favorite! But any good building with a shabby wall will do.

Who knows? There is always that point where a system starts taking on a life of it’s own and just doing things. I’ve seen it many times. ?

by the way … i was going to suggest depreciating that hiding … do you use it much? … me, i don’t.  … if i want to ignore something, i just ignore it,  don’t need to push it out the way.   if i want something out of the way, i would just back room it.  works better for me … and the good part is that it hides it for everybody.
dA 2016-02-11 07:44:58 [item 19887#45189]
I use it ALL THE TIME. I generally hide all comments once I have read them. Then I only see new stuff. It is much more peaceful and serene. ?
Mark 2016-02-11 07:56:06 [item 19887#45193]
I rarely use it that’s why I was surprised about the thread count. I wonder a bit though about human communication of the future when words disappear with their meanings & all there is left is emoji & thumb typing & gestures laughing It is a pretty kewl feature to silence rosesmugrwg-bait!
Well, the main thought doesn’t disappear, only the comments. And the comments only disappear for you, leaving room for fresh thinking. Others still see them until they read them, and if they reply, then it reappears for you too. It’s not the same as just deleting them … and you can bring them back anytime as well.

who knew … different people use the same thing differently.
dA 2016-02-11 07:52:21 [item 19887#45191]
Personally, I think hiding a comment once you have read it reduces the window and impulse for RWG. RGW at it’s core is holding onto a pattern. The less in view to represent that pattern, the easier it is to let a new one in.
seth 2016-02-11 07:53:38 [item 19887#45192]
yep does do that
Mark 2016-02-11 07:59:48 [item 19887#45194]
Funny thing is I didn’t realize it until I went to the Safari browser to check the same item & there it was. Apparently the hide is for only one browser.smug
yep it is just your local affair.  very local.  only one machine.  only one browser.  it is just how you want to view something at the moment.    …. i used it myself once or twice to good adantage to simplify a long train of different thoughts diverging.

Holmes says
The eventual plan is to tie this in with a “have read” feature that can let others know you have read it. So you read it, click have read, it get’s hidden and others know you saw it … and the conversation continues in a clean and very synchronized manner. The feature is waiting for atomized streams so it will work live. But even as it is, it nearly works as good in the same freshening way.

Holmes says
In windows, you have a key and symbol viewer under the system files path somewhere. Don’t memeber the exact path, but I am sure you can search and find it. Just search for keyboard and/or symbols. It does the same thing our mac thingy is doing.

i wonder who has standardized these … so the sem pictogam is assigned to the same uni code charcter for everybody?

seems like this is the preferred replacement for the characters box in the RTE .   Many more choices on the mac at least.   If you are into math, you can write formula … even logical ones

∀x (x ∊ M) …. so when x represents a man and M represents a mortal, then we know that every man is mortal ? … at lest for a logician.
dA 2016-02-11 08:22:18 [item 19887#45202]
True. Mathematicians and logicians are mortal.
Everyone else are Gods. 羹???

interesting how that comment impinged on my eyes … on my screen didnt show immediately who had written it … but i read it anyway … and knew that mark did not say it … had to scroll to the top of the thread to verify, however.
dA 2016-02-11 08:29:39 [item 19887#45205]
nope … never saw those before … never impinged on my consciousness.   strange how that hppens … people do not all see the same things at the same time … then they wonder why.

anyway this day has so far been provoked by other … all good and all … but me, i’m gonna jump universes … will take a moment … got to install a ssl … and provoke some possibilities … so later in an entirely different universe.
