For my part, I am very happy ...

… that alias is an alias and all my posts change when I change my alias. Channeling Goethe was a tiresome day. I am so glad all the posts no longer bear his name. He has great passion and incredible ability to bring that passion to any focus and no qualms about what others think about it or telling them so. He is very true to the German ideal.

He also has little tolerance for anything less than perfection, and though brilliant in what he applies, he does not have the fresh clarity of mind that many of the other Renascence masters had. His gift was from his passionate creativity and dedicated curiosity rather than from his clarity.

He was a bit of a motherfucker too … something not covered in his bio’s, unless you know what to look for between the lines, and which I only discovered by doing, not studying.

In any case, yay that he is gone. And I am thankful that his traces only remain buried in threads, not every thought he wrote or commented on. I would not have wanted today’s experience to remain as a pen name.

p.s. I did learn through a new experience of being fired up and passionate without without loosing at least some of myself in the heat of it. The degree to which Goethe could do that is well beyond anything I have experienced before.

I read as much Goethe in my youth as i could get a hold of … some even in the original German.  I too picked up on a “passionate creativity and dedicated curiosity” and think he was a fearless thinker with a clarity which transcended the cultural mind of the 18th century … of which i shudder to presume that i know.  He was a mystic and a scientist and a lover of nature itself … for that reason i took the name of his most famous character.

Yes. All that is there in my experience. However, the way we recreate him as a character in our history is not the way he was experienced by his peers, and servants, of the time period. You and Galileo probably would have become vast friends. You and Goethe, almost for sure not. Even in his bio it talks of how he had little tolerance for those who indulged any of their own, or his judgment of, perceived weaknesses, like just for instance, how you indulge the way you perceive your relationship to memory.

well i am sure that the character he created, “Faust”, had very little if anything to do with the way Goethe was experienced by his peers and servants or even the life story he actually lived.  Gretchen who Faust fell so passionately in love with that he forsook his very immortal soul to possess was a virginal peasant girl … i rather think that Geothe imagined indulging her weaknesses.

I would have been honored to be friends with Goethe … deep and intimate … perhaps more so than you in particular can even imagine.  You know nothing of how i perceive my relationship to my memory … it is strange and and a little bit funny that you claim to me that you do.

I know what you say, out loud, quite often. That is what I referre to in this. I wonder what you are remembering about what you said, or if you remember that you say things about it often, out loud, to me, to mark, and more.

I tell you details of of my private affairs just so you will know me better, they are never to be used against me in any way whatsoever.  My short term memory of unimportant extraneous details is usually quite fuzzy, i like it that way, there are advantages.   I doubt that Geothe would have considered that my weakness, nor should you.

Now he is channeling in the name of Taoism – many laughs!  Whatever happened to the one-ended rainbow? Rudolf Steiner edited Goethe’s natural scientific papers & got his PhD for it. Nothing preached here in his name seems even remotely similar. I read his The Theory of Knowledge Implicit in Goethe's World Conception - See more at: (*) before I was around 19 – that is where I groked the term percepts – most useful . The other thing I got was that all other laws between humans were subsumed under the Golden Rule which sense organ has a seat in the heart chakra. You are “talking about it”. Go do it. Then you will know what you know at that point. Right now you have no experience of this at all. You only have an experience of thinking about it and writing those thoughts. What you are thinking and writing is nothing like what I experienced by doing.

I guess I wonder why you are here at all. One can observe and think and add to the multiverse without being physical. All you “appear” (from my perspective) to do with your physical component is utilize it’s ability to support ego identities.
Since we haven’t met physically in decades you imagination must of necessity be working overtime.laughing

i read his autobiography, sorrows of young werther, and of course Faust, and part of what Steiner wrote about him.    i still feel i only barely scratched the surface of this great life … more so since it was lived in a totally different era: modern life being so very different than life in the 18th century.

incidentally it might be pertinent to look up what Geothe actually said about percepts … unvarnished by Steiner’s interpretation.  I wonder how my conceptions of percepts has changes since i first encountered them.  I’ll put it on my to do list.

So what did he say? Got some links? .. or quotes from memory?  RS’s Knowledge of the Higher Worlds .. is predominately congruent with Goethe.

道教, 道家思想

It is nice that you recognized these characters as the Tao. Did you do that from memory or a special search or some other means?

I am testing our ability to support expanded character sets.
I just used google translate – no mystery – it is under the “many laughs” link in my post above somewhere yes 廢話

I now know what Goethe considers by doing. For me it is no longer a theory, it is an experience and knowledge gained. I have reported it very much exactly how I experience it. If you choose to rewrite my story for the version of me that you include in your verse to make your version of me fit better with your beliefs about what is possible or not, what you think I did in your terms, then you are welcome to. Your version of me will always be what you create, never what I experience.
seth of group seth 2016-02-19 07:34:21 [item 20031#46042]
well yeah yes … i would consider rewriting your stories according to the images of them on the inside of my eyeballs to be evil,  which is why i always try to avoid it, even to myself privately.   One reason is that i have so frequently discovered those kind of theories never really pan out as true.  Another reason is,  i know how it feels when someone does it to me.

Strange though, that was what i was complaining about you doing to me.  Bit of the old mirroring going on here, eh?

I write about my experiences as I experience them as well as I can. I don’t rearrange or adjust them to fit what I think you will believe or what is commonly thought about things. I just report what I experience.

I do the same with you. I report what I experience. I well know it will not be your experience, so I don’t try and match it up as if I could, like most people would. I just tell it like it is, how I experience you. You are used to people doing all kinds of extra communication posturing things to acknowledge that they are not having your experience and they are only seeing their own point of view. Well, that’s a given for me. I will never see things as you … no reason to complicate communication trying to make that a part of every thought … it already is, or should be if people were being honest.

sorry, 道教, 道家思想 … i have a trash can on this thread in your group to which i do not have a password.

So i cannot withdraw my comment without also deleting your excellent writings.
