News ads are irritating

The rate of refresh makes it a slow flash. Sometimes when I try to follow the link on my QA ad it doesn't work. Anyway I do what I do with most websites that flash stuff I scroll them off the page.

well the refresh rate is 10 seconds. are you suggesting that it be longer?

That may help. In the long run, I suspect that ads on the news page won't be that effective at the bottom. Perhaps they should be static at the top like the others.

It's hard to guage until the river flows at a steady rate.

yep, this kind of adjustments can take place at any time we can grock an improvement according to the current flow. i had the ads on top and decided i didnt like them there because the height of the ads varies and it would make clicking on a specific item very tricky. at the bottom, the screen is more stable.

I wonder what the customers will be most attracted to. It is my understanding that this is the area where you will profit. I would be most attracted as a customer to exhibit an ad on the top of the page as some folks don't really always scroll all the way down. avoiding ads seems self defeating from a profit point of view.
