A quick question ?

About: speak to me catalog newsletters

if i can contrive that these html files contain a <title> element,  is there a easy way to make this list show that title for Denise to hear with her screen reader?

 There are attributes that can be added to tags for screen reader awareness. But I would have to go research and look them up. I don't know them off the top of my head and if they can apply to the title tag although I don't see why they wouldn't.

that was not actually my question …. i already know that the screen reader will read it just fine with no special tagging if it is actually shown in the html. 

i was rather asking whether there is an easy way to generate the HTML view of that directory if i put the <title> attribute in the actual file ?  … obviously i can do is by just writing a simple php program …. i am curious if there is an even easier way.

Not that I am aware of using directory listing stuff. But as you say, the PHP would be very simple to iterate those files, grab the title tag content, and display it in a list in an HTML page ... along with anything else about the file or content you wanted displayed.
