The real game

Although it has the name Right Wrong Game, rwg is not really about being right or wrong, it is about being acknowledged, having your experience validated by others. If you realize that every person is completely creating their own reality experience, then you no longer need to seek out validation … you can simply explore the differences, share and enjoy the similarities, and happily create your own experience from what you find that you like and want more of in all experiences you touch.

is it just me, or is the picture above →  https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5M9yB3VOz4I/V51Gn4LTT1I/AAAAAAAAjZc/uK76lkuokxQGYuOkaS_fdrbsiSgYZjG6Q/w540-h300-p-rw/bea45eed-c94f-4ed0-8345-903543d03438 not visible.

Popular arrogance from the big bang.
… (maybe you are not visible) … take a selfie quick you must be fading

Seth says
ok Mark, here is what i am observing …

sorry for the distraction from nathan’s observation that others should not be considered wrong when they “create a reality experience” different from my own.

Mark de LA says
Yeah apparently I got another webp file.  BTW it still shows on Windows 10.  Ask Nathan for it apparently he has a way to see it. XOR:

Seth says
well if the representation is actually accessible only to you locally,  then it would be a corruption in the system if it even could be shown (by hook or trick) to others.

Seth says
laugh

Mark de LA says
Nobody is saying that – apparently N could see it because he commented upon it.

Mark de LA says
Anyway apparently Google mastered how to do it because when I or anyone else sees their image searches they show up there.
I don’t know why, when I can find a url for the source why I can’t make it show up here.

Seth says
maybe he has access to download it and look at it … or maybe he didnt care what it represented and responded to it anyway … so i can not in my reality conclude that nathan “could see it” or “wanted to take the effort to see it”.

Mark de LA says
XOR NOT – he used Sheldon’s name.

Seth says
i don’t know … if you would tell me specifically how you posted a specific image here, then i could reproduce that experience over here, and then study it and figure out why it will not show here to others.

Mark de LA says
I think I dragged & dropped.  Sorry … it that is illegal it should yield an error. The fact that it works sometimes & sometimes not is a bug ( or irritating cognitive dissonance feature nuance) laughing

KEWL, I usually don’t want them longer than that either.  Pictures I want I store locally.  Pictures I use to illustrate an idea or a passing mirth are just there for the moment.  Apparently the pictures dragged here expire faster than 30 days & on Seth’s device faster than that. smug
Most of my problems are dragging from Google.

Seth says
yes i know you dragged and dropped … the pertinant question is from where.  if you dragged an image which only you had access to by virtue of your identity, then you cannot expect that same image will be viable by others who do not have that same identity with its entailed prividleges to access.   … or at least that is the the story that i am telling which is consistent with what i am experiencing.  to expect that a thinking domain will know which images you alone have access to and others do not, is to expect quite a very lot … apparently too much.

and if some other domain is going to expire an image in the future, how is a thinking domain ever going to know that.

so images being hosted elsewhere are not going to ever show here reliably for an extended time.  it is a crap shoot.  like pissing off a cliff on a dark night … you do not know on what your streme will land … you cannot take responsibility for its effect.

Mark de LA says
I guess I could fart in the wind a few more times & see if you can hear it, but you already have the info.  I dragged from google images to the RTE of comment I was writing. ← from google images

Seth says
i can see that cartoon now.  for how long, i do not know.

Mark de LA says
Who knows – it is from google via some other website probably : https://drawception.com/game/HOTRMZ8BSO/a-fart-in-the-wind/ laughing
Anyway – it is what it is.  I feel more squeamish screen scraping & storing copies of others’ material on your server than I do missing the expiration date of google linked images. If you see the picture once that is enough for me. Perhaps take out time to do a ½ giggle on it. rosewink

Wizard says
the image is visable in chrome and not in Firefox (thanks mark for providing the hint).  so now we can write a story that google images is conspiring with google chrome to show the web in ways such that to see it people will need to stay witching Google’s conception of reality.   that are mandating a standard that has yet to be adopted by firefox.  i call that Google being chiggy … but who am i to say laugh.

Maybe one way to cut down on server media space is to figure out how to display webp so that the image stays where it is but displays in fb.
Yep. More and more of the services are going to short expire times on pictures to save bandwidth on their servers.

BTW, the news sucks with large piles of paragraphs on it. thumbs down I’ll probably go back to 2.0 if it hangs out that way very long.
Whatever. As you know 3.0 is work in progress. I worked on it some this morning and got it to that point. The next workout block I get I will move it along. You can wrestle with your reality or not. It's entirely your design.

Si says

Si says
I call it gaming reality.

Si says
As per your redesign of your reality, the “see all” button is now at the top temporarily while work is being done on the inline news stream.

p.s. as always, a 3.0 safe refresh may be required to get wip changes.

Si says
Inline news version 0.01 is working and clickable. Obviously this is not even close to the final format for the inline news. It is simply the first version that taps into the stream and actually displays live updating news for your pleasure. Final version will look radically different.

p.s. as always, a 3.0 safe refresh may be required to get wip changes.

Holmes says
So, back to the topic. It is easy to validate the statement in this thought. Next time someone presents a challenge, or negativity, you know, when they do that thing that starts rwg. Instead of responding in a framework of right or wrong, simply validate whatever you think they have in mind in their reality about the subject and see if the rwg doesn’t simply diffuse and fade away. Can’t hurt to try right?

Holmes says
already progressed beyond this state … the button is again at the bottom since the feed is clean.

Seth says
hmmm ...

Si says
This doesn’t mean you should always do this. That’s up to you. It is simply an experiment to see what actually controls rwg. To tell the difference between right and wrong and validation, you don’t have to say they are right … you only need validate their reality. You could say “I see your conclusion” or “I see how you arrive at that”. You don’t even need to specify what it is.

Mark will recognize this as an NLP pattern, but that is not the point. The point is simply that this is a way to see if rwg is about being right, or about having one’s experience validated by others.

Mark de LA says
I appreciate your point of view & it is older than NLP.  Learned it in a bank manager seminar – like assertiveness training – aimed at fostering better communication between managers in a large bank.  I’ve mentioned it several times to Seth – “ I respect, I appreciate , I acknowledge, … AND … “ coolthumbs up – in modern days a thumbs up seems to slow down rwg.  (No BUT’s about it!)
