As a test of how SeriTD is doing. I deleted @mark’s tag faux nate which has made it disappear from this thought but @mark should still be able to see it (in parentheses) as a hidden tag. @seth should not be seeing it (unless @mark adds it back … so please don’t add it back @mark until @seth has spoken of what he sees).

First full 3 way test of beseechment.

Si says
ping @mark … are you seeing what I say above? I need to know for the test. Thanks.

Mark de LA says
yep null

Si says

Seth says

i see no faux nate

← this is all i see

null hmmm i wonder if i can see the tag room itself.

← nope, that room appears to be empty

Si says
null perfect @seth!

“faux nate” beeseechment did not happen!  I am the rule #2 curator of my content.

But Mark can still use that tag (rule #1 – first person) to build his network of “nate made this in imitation” items if it is exciting for him to do that.

This doesn’t entirely prevent tag wars because @mark can keep adding it back all he wants after I delete it (i.e. bullying), but his rule #1 content is safe and he no longer has to add the tag back just to have his own tag network with the tags that make sense to him. Not being a bully is where rule #3 comes in. We all got to do that together.

And if @mark is a really swell Golden kind of guy, he can hide his own tags when he adds them, if he suspects they will irk someone, and keep the bliss flowing! We all can!

Seth says
okay, it does seem to work that way null.

@mark, can you still see your faux nate room?  How many thoughs are in it?

Mark de LA says
1 thought in the room.

Si says

Si says
It’s now your own private tag room. Build it well, make it work for you!

Seth says

Si says
And now as you can see, all I did was simply delete the tag using the new tag editor. The rest is taken care of seamlessly by SeriTD. She knows where to put what and how to show things as you curate normally.

The only one thing you ever have to be intentional about is talking about a tag that is private to you with others, because they won’t be able to see them. Or referring them to such a tag room. Tags can be mixed and the open ones will still show in a tag room, but the hidden ones will only show to the owner of the tag (not the thought or the group, just the owner of that specific tag on that specific thought).

Seth says
null can the same tag be open on some thoughts, and private on others?   What would such a room look to each different person?

Si says
Yes it can. Any number of open and hidden tags can exist between thoughts. Tag rooms will show what is open and also any that are owned by you to each respective person.

The same thought cannot have multiple hidden tags of the same name by different people though. If you add a tag that is already there but hidden, it will simply change it to be open and will still be owned by the person who first created it.

Seth says

Mark de LA says
Sooner or later you folks will be talking to yourselves. Nobody in the real world will want to work with your system.  G+ or FB is much simpler & doesn’t have a bunch of censors running the show. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Seth says
strange @mark … no censors is kind of what nathan is getting working.  maybe you didnt understand that …. er, read the 2st rule → “Authors shall have control of their own content, except where in conflict with rule 1.

but you go aug on him while he is working on it.

Why?  Do you somehow think you are helping the effort by doing that?

Si says
Yea @mark. You were the one advocating for the ability to delete content you didn’t want, so that you didn’t have to make thoughts private. Now the first ability comes for that, the ability to delete tags you don’t want, and because the first one was your tag, suddenly it is censorship.

Notice how there is no consistency at all in your Paparazzi style of interpreting your reality? You have one rule “take the opposite side” and one response “shit on it if you can”. Your perspective on life is truly Tabloid. And I can say that here because it is the gossip group … so get used to it … there will be more when you keep it up.

Mark de LA says
That is your example of what you want others to say about & to you ! #hashtagBullShit !  #hashtags made Twitter world wide & concentrate eyeballs & attention on subject matter.
the tags here not so much
Then too FB allows a person to delete unwanted comments – seems to work. G+ seems to work as well. Haven’t used it much.  May need to.

Si says
Well let’s see how well you like it when all your white trash comments get deleted everywhere. Just like when you got your rainbow unicorn panties in a twist when your tag got hidden, the first time someone deletes one of your shitting-on comments you will go ballistic!

#Hashtags are comming BTW, name tags are prototyping the way!

… and BTW yes, this is exactly what we do in this group … so have at it yourself!

Mark de LA says
#hashtagBullShit back at you! null no example there!

Mark de LA says
Threats from the developer here! Sounds #reallyFucked to me! null

Si says
Threats? Their your panties, you poop in them yourself please! null

Mark de LA says
As before samo-samo – I don’t wear panties, but since you are obsessed with them it is certainly congruent for you being an asshole to poop in whatever you wear around you! null

Seth says
as school boy woofing sessions go, you guys must realize that this material is pretty thin.

Mark de LA says

Mark de LA says
Maybe I interpreted N’s comments below too literally or harshly ?null

Well let’s see how well you like it when all your white trash comments get deleted everywhere.

Seth says
i took it to mean that he is about to implement the 2nd law for comments.  and was thinking about how you would react.

Mark de LA says
Well since I did not memorize your laws – even less agree with them – & he did not say as much as you did it beats on a drum without a drumheadnull

Seth says
but is that not just you making it that way?  … i did not make it that way in my mind.

Si says
“as school boy woofing sessions go, you guys must realize that this material is pretty thin.”

yea, I am way out of practice! Good thing we have this group to practice in.

Si says
I do love my rainbow panties!

Seth says
incidentally we really should have just one isolated thought called maybe “the 3 laws” with them just highlighted there with perhaps commentary about them there.  after all,  these are becoming fundamental to how permissions on SeriTD are programmed.

…. er, which i can suppose is quite OT for this group null

Mark de LA says
This is an emerging excuse for ? disengenuousness .

but is that not just you making it that way?  … i did not make it that way in my mind.   -Seth

slippery eels notwithstanding. null

Conversation forked to thought 21383

Seth says
could you continue comments on the fork instead of here, please?

Mark de LA says
Why would I want to .. the context is lost over there?  Such illustrates disengenuosity emerging. Continuing the back-&-forth won’t improve the distinctions if any at all .  It started out over there sounding like RWG (which i shall try to call “back-&-forth-babble” or B&FB) to remove the stigma of its previous incarnation.

Seth says
well actually that was not my intention.  i wanted to focus specifically on “me making one thing of something, and you something quite different” ← that in and of itself is not a bad thing, but rather a good thing from my perspective.  yet you seemed to have some specific complaint againt it.  i really wanted to know what your complaint against people having different interpertations of what happens actually is.  drill down into it … mabye we missed something.

incidentally this new motility of thought and commments is working for me in the sense that i am getting better focus in the contexts that i want to focus on, even though there seems to be even more distraction here and i have been a bit away from it over the weekend.   i think you might too, if you give it a fair chance.

Mark de LA says
null Ultimate focus begins when you don’t blog about it all! null

Seth says
that would be just you,  not me.

the way i blog is a great help to the focus of my life.

Mark de LA says
Enjoy the glow! null
