About: google guards my public photos

I love kids … i admit it … and i love even their representations.   Here are some, published publicly in my album of photos on Google.

Incidentally i have not persued or elaborated this public photo album … just because i expect that eventually i will get into trouble.   Sombody’s parent will object to letting a representation of their child become public knowledge.  And this does not just apply to children … many adults are the same way … they want to completely control their image to the public … even when it is of them being in public.

hmmm  …

yeah i tried it too … facebook does not provide a “play elsewhere” interface like youtube does, afaik.   you can not just iframe the url because then there is no player associated.   one could say that fb sucks because of this …  i suppose  their motive is to force you to play it in their ball park, not your own … or maybe fb’s design team havent’ thought of how to Monetize people playing “their” content elsewhere.

I don’t think monitization is the issue. FB’s stated policy for keeping things in house is because that way people are resonably safe. You can only view stuff when you are logged into FB and in allowed friends and family (if so set) and FB goes to rather extreme lengths to verify someone is who they say they are.

This is all to keep the environment safe for those you interact with. That’s one way to do things and keeps parents and people who live in fear of being stalked, etc.,  happy.
