i don't have any specific tech suggestions. It is not, imho, a technical issue. What we need to do is be interesting to a specific niche.

YEP! YEP! YEP! Totally agree! Talkin bout program in'nards' is prolly a topic with a limited nard audience! Different strokes for different folks will broaden the spectrum! I say this knowin yous guys need to communicate the structure stuff. Perhaps yous guys could put this type of chat into a group rathere than the main river. its not necessary to fluch the db, it is just pushed down into history. that old history is part of my memory of things and processess that interest me and other nerds as well. fastblogit is large enough to encompass many different domains of interest. if you want the world's attention, then you must learn how to get it. there will be more features here relative to an author controlling their view to the world, but those are just icing on the cake. if you want the world's attention, you have all you need right now. it is not the technology that is holding you back now.

I personally have no problem with most of it. I am thinking that newbies have too many things to click on and too many options. The RTE with quotes and cut & paste is still complex (or buggy). Tags are becoming complex - we just need to explain it well in the about group, though. Peace

. but it is definitely not the complexity, in fact he has no prob at all with that ... he put in his contacts group jason with no amount of instructions from me. actually jason is not a blogger. it takes someone with an urge to cummnicate their innards and ideas and rub them off the world. it is not surprising that everybody in the world does not fall into that catagory.

actually i disagree. people don't read instructions. they just start clicking and using. now i admit that people like that there are intstructions there to read, but when they find them, they get a nice warm feeling and go back to actually learning by just clicking and using. that applies to product assembly instructions too. i think the site is easy enough to click and learn. our prob with the world is to motivate people enough that they want to spend the time to click and learn.

Some of this also goes to 1360 and 1502 and how we want to productize and what we are aiming at. If you want more traffic then appeal to the masses not necessarily geeks (or nards as Winnie calls them). Remember that sex and porn probably got the web going faster than political discussion.

Rapid refresh if there is a fast moving stream will look like a flashing screen - you wouldn't want that.

why don't you please just go through the door

in the button bar and start your own identity or group on the right side of that screen, it is free and easy ... then you will be more than just an annonymous person.
