I am a variable

I never did ask myself the question, “Who am I?” … until gurus pointed it out as something that I should know directly … that were i to know it, i would instantly feel a #qualia relating my #BeIng to the #SpiritualWorld … the impression i got was that it would be some kind of #Satori … some kind of awakening of my #BeIng.

Strangely enough this thought went way beyond what i said in its body above … it has been a long time in recent moments and that train of thought is not current in my mind … but it was quite distinct … i have no doubt that it will emerge again.

After sitting with it for a week, can’t say I get this one. Ain’t saying it’s wrong or anything … would have to get it to say about it. I just don’t.

mark pointed out today that a focus of a #consciousness could be centered at a point in a context #MultiVerse … (seeAlso #CenterOfConsciousness in thought 21692 in mark’s group]). He had a unique way of saying that but that thought is currently private so i don’t know how to quote his exact words.

It dawned on me that if i am that focus of a #consciousness then I am the variable referred to in this thought.

A wierd way of saying something but that is the best i can do at the moment.

This is related to “killing the ego” as mark put it recently … or as described elsewhere by #AlanWatts in his #Zen book “The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are” also in a youtube “About: the real you - alan watts - youtube”.

But we don’t “kill our #Ego” … that would be silly … we need the structure of the separation of our #insides from our #outsides to even #exist. (which story is obviously debatable).

So what is it that we kill to be able to freely navigate (vary) the #fidenity or our #ConsciousnessCenters … well #MeThinks it is obvious …. we kill our #Egoo.

and i don’t care what you say this shit is deep

… and yet it is simple.

Okay. Lot of fun and good stuff in there and lots I agree with … but the variable part, still nope … can’t hold it’s concept in my thoughts.

Maybe it will click someday … not excited to try to hard for that though … it’s quite okay with me that you get it and I don’t.

Plenty of other roses to smell.

perhaps me saying “i am a variable” is just a more dramatic way of saying that “i change”. it’s very much like you saying that you jump within different #MultiVerse’s. i look on it as a #manifold and its edges being the #membrane separating me from not-me … or myself from #othernness. I think many people believe that membrane is pretty close to their #epidermis … others maybe move it closer to their #DuraMater … others way out to their #family … etc. I just notice that it can be moved or navigated.
