Worth its weight in GOLD

Every word I speak is spoken for me. Every poem I write is written for me. Every letter I write is for me to receive. It can also be really nice to share my experience with you. I might say, “I would like to share my poem with you.” If you don’t want to hear it, I’m in complete alignment over here. I wrote it. I want to hear it. If you want to hear it, too, then we’ll have that in common. If I expect you to be available to appreciate or understand me in any way, I’m insane. It’s just a bonus if you seem to.
Do you expect others to hear you? Do you listen to yourself? Which way holds less stress?Byron Katie
