Yes, but this can change, and there is some evidance that it is changeing, witness that now google will skew it's results for AOL just because it needed to buy part of that company to keep m$ away from it.

It's a distinct possibility. I haven't had a chance to study Alexa. On initial approach it looks like some kind of shopping search platform on which one could write a shopping bot. As such it might help out the scm project and enhanse the ability of an intentional item to find it's satisfaction ... see intentional tags or type ~ into the live search box.
