..strange way of putting it. obviously the spam was not in response to anything you did, rather you just became aware of it when you clicked submit. But i too have had that experience. I have my spam-be-gone tool bookmarked, and when i see that spam, it gives me great pleasure

to click my little tool and watch the spam dissapear. Hmmm ... maybe i should put it as a button on the nav panel

and let anybody click it.
