To abandon the ideals we have advanced around the globe, to refuse the obligations of international leadership for the sake of some half-baked, spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems,is as unpatriotic as an attachment to any other tired dogma of the past that Americans consigned to the ash heap of history.

When i was a kid becoming aware of our nation in the world of other nations i was struck with the exceptional character of America. Althought powerful enough to rule the world, we nevertheless held back from such an agenda and instead stood for the values of all humans. I agree with John McCain, it would be an awful shame to give that up for winning at the expense of other nations. Choosing to only value ourselves at the expense of others is simply not our American story … it is not what we are be ing. Or at least that was my story of America before before #Trump.

Bozo is the #LWP. McCain is just jealous nobody wanted him for president & still wants the president to apologize for not saluting him as a war hero for being captured . He is just an obstructionist with brain damage. I have been watching the series War Stories with Oliver North about the Viet Nam war & WW-II & it seems as if those in power at that time Kennedy, Johnson & Nixon were into the politics of winning & losing rather than seriously evaluation why they were in wars in the first place. Eisenhower, Truman & McArthur knew how to win wars & for the long haul. The current generation only can see as far as 8 years & their own power domains. Obama kissed ass to keep his Nobel peace prize shiny without any wars & hence the Norks, Iran & the middle east disasters that the current president has to deal with.
