What is the question ?

The question in my mind is not whether X should be executed, but why is it going take more than 23 years to get the job done?
I am all for complete isolation rather than the death penalty. I would almost prefer that the isolation take place in an escape-proof walled city where the inmates had to cooperate with eachother to grow their own food. This would all fail, though because there are still lawyers who make their living trying to pry these creeps out of their isolation anyway.
