....Branding has a big problem these days; social meaning is a commodity. We're drowning in social meanings. So smart brand strategists are shifting away from simple meanings to new things to associate with brands ....

The point is that brands themselves are going to evolve to become a kind of media that consumers choose to consume or not.

... it means brands which leverage microchunked media to shift away from meanings and to newer, scarcer drivers of attention. Often, these new drivers are most efficiently leveraged at the edge - co-created with consumers.

Hmmm ... ... how can fastblogit become the tool for brand media to co creat with the consumer ?

Limbo is exploiting asymmetrical info to push-market goods thru an obsolete mobile value chain.

Note how misaligned with industry economics that is. First, revolutionaries are doing the opposite - bringing consumers together to arbitrage these info asymmetries (the community becomes a better record label/publisher/etc - you know the score). Second, this enables pull models to emerge.
Hense the popularity of the Wikipedia(s), the digg.com(s) etc ... shades of The Wisdom Of Crowds ... we customize our own experiences ! ... we don't need no stinkin pundants.

I thought we were a Zen site without a brand (remembering a previous conversation)  - could actually put that logo in the control bar with a link to the so-called front page.
We are .. none of that has changed ... see [title I don&#39;t agree with this button replacing home.] Point here is that the branding is for our clients.  We are in the business of providing client branded sites running the software you see running here.  But our front door, will prolly have our brand logo all over it.
