Great move!

Instead of looking for life in other places we should learn to get along on the Earth!  Instead of increasing NASA's budget far beyond the inflation rate we should hold the NASA people accountable for their mistakes and cost-overruns (as well as the rest of government). Maybe in the years building up to Apollo project there was a lot of payback in terms of useful science applicable on the Earth.  I suspect the curve on that is decreasing.  I think we should put such hot scientists to work solving the energy problem here.  Maybe such things as the neighborhood fuel cell power stations; safe nuclear plants; renewable energy in harmony with nature; cold fusion; & the sociology of well run large organizations.  Maybe even a more enlightened economic system that provides everyone with the right kind of occupation.  Most of the NASA budget is a slush fund for scientists & managers & the military-industrial complex!
