Lie ... Or No Lie ?

I don't know what Rumsfield and Bush knew when they set the wheels of war in motion.  We probably will never know for sure.

Justifying a war to Congress and the American people must be extremely difficult.  Once the wheels of war are set in motion and  the "justification" starts falling apart , what do you do? ... what can you do? .... put blinders on?   Well not if the "justification" was the "real reason" !   It would be a cowerdly, weak and foolish administration to proceed with a war knowing no real threat existed.   So what do we have here ... a weak and foolish administration? .... No, it is more likely that they lied about why they were going to war .... the lie being that this "justification" was "the reason".  Me, i'm charatable ... i would rather believe that Bush and Rumsfield are liars than to believe that they are weak and foolish.
