Amazon has this on a look inside the book .  Only $9.72 for the paper back ... very tempting.

One should probably read the Amazon customer reviews of the book as well. It may be written from a particular perspective not in alignment with the current PC history books. I don't know whether it is any more real history than any other story book, nor any more a story than any other history book.

If one is studying freedom, it certainly looks to be a good place to start.  I've always been though that Hegel's statement ... something to the effect that History was all about the progress of freedom ... which stikes me as True ... more somewhere under this google.  I am not sure what the "current PC History books" view of freedom is ... i certainly hope that it is not Bush's concept of freedom.
