The Coming Economic coup d'etat

Around 1993 the wife of president tried to take over the healthcare industry which was at that time approximately 17% of the US economy.  This was a blatant attempt at massive socialism.  Now Algore & the environmentalistas (who are out of power even) are trying to take over the rest the economy through massive restriction on it's carbon base in oil & other fossil fuels. The environmentalistas are NOT elected. The scientists who depend upon governmental & otherwise grants requiring a panic on global warming are NOT elected.  Don't let these people ruin this economy & turn it into a 3rd world socialist failure like all the other socialist countries.
Support discovering alternative energy sources. Support taking care of mother Earth. BUT, don't support this multi-trillion dollar boondoggle to try and roll back a ~ 0.5 degree rise in the surface of the Earth's temperature over the last century.  Pure common sense says that if the scientists can't even predict with their models & their instruments exactly what the weather is going to be tomorrow what makes you think they know within a half a degree what the Earth's temperature is ? The Earth is big - who thinks it's average temperature is meaningful anyway ?

Well kewl, M has managed to hobble together some distortions in a paragraph.  What now?  ... apply for funding as a right wing think tank ?  Me, i won't waiste my time refuting these idiotic assertions on a blatant leftrightism node ... it is counter productive.  It takes away from our rational efforts elsewhere, see proposition node.

Politics is action.  We don't change things intentionaly without using politics.  I stated no objection to "the politics driving this panic."  That would be yet another of your distortions of what people do and say.  Examine what i did say more carefuly  ...

There is simply my reaction to the paragraph
"Well kewl, M has managed to hobble together some distortions in a paragraph.  What now?  ... apply for funding as a right wing think tank ?"
which, were you a liberal you might understand the embedded humor.

... then a statement of my own actions:
Me, i won't waiste my time refuting these idiotic assertions on a blatant [tag leftrightism] node ... it is counter productive.

... and then yet another, perhaps futile, call to rationality:
It takes away from our rational efforts elsewhere, see [tag proposition node].

So, can you see how you have distorted my words ?  In fact, i believe the opposite and have said so in several places.

And i have not ignored your "substantive arguments".  In fact i have gone quite out of my way to take them seriously and find rationas responses to them.  For example you say:

support this multi-trillion dollar boondoggle to try and roll back a ~ 0.5 degree rise in the surface of the Earth's temperature over the last century
This has been put in perspective, upon my request, by Colby ...

See this article for half of it and this article for the other half.
Now, personally i am not totaly satisfied that covers your serious objections.  Perhaps we could do a better job were you to code those objections in a logical proposition without prejudging words like "boondoggle" and without embedded falacies (that Kyoto proposes to  roll back temperatures).

My own inquiry on this is that if you look at graphs like this one the global warming trend is quite dramatic  but if you state it as a rise in temperature of 1/2 degree you get quite a different picture.  Which perspective is correct?

This is MY editorial NOT part of your self-serving proposition experiment. You have ignored all my objections about the so-called science & have admitted that it is wrapped up in politics & NOW you object to the politics driving this panic. PFoooeey !

I can find no better response to your editorial than this one which i reproduce here verbatim ...

The spectrum of politics is polarized from conservative to liberal, right to left, Republican to Democrat, etc. just like the visible spectrum is blue to red .  Get over it!

My point is that this polorization has become like the stripes on a zebra.  We cannot focus our attention on the issues and practical action because the stripes are getting in the way.  Get over it?  Well i accept it as a fact of political life.  But that does not mean that when i detect a phenomena which is destroying our perceptions, that i should not set the powers of my organizational skills and my words against it. You , on the other hand, seem to be so caught up in being a white stripe, that you cannot step back from the picture and see the problem.

Mark de LA says
Well, I have not identified with the white or the black stripes in your picture & yes, I can see the polkadotted rhinocerus in your picture (;-))

Good for you ... i missed the rhino.

Now can you see Ann Coulter in this picture?
Nope, must be blind ! Do you see the tatoo of the likeness of Algore in this picture:
