Islam is a peaceful religion. Last week i went in search of support for that; but there is so much written about the peaceful teachings of the profit that i won't even attempt to recount it here. Just open your eyes. "The Great Theft" 3968 would be a good start for you ... it tells both sides of the issue ... but there are plenty other sources of this information. Now it is a fact that fundamentalists (pruitans) demigods have corrupted factions of Islam. But if you open your mind you will find that the moderate mainstreme of Islamic thought is peaceful and tolerant of others.

Relations between Mecca and Medina rapidly worsened (see surat al-Baqara). Meccans confiscated all the property that the Muslims had left in Mecca. In Medina, Muhammad signed treaties of alliance and mutual help with neighboring tribes.
Muhammad turned to raiding caravans bound for Mecca. Caravan-raiding was an old Arabian tradition and according to Watt was "a kind of sport rather than war"[6] and that the object of the raids was to take animals and other goods but killing was carefully avoided. Yes there is that and a whole lot more. The peaceful traditons of Moderate Islam run deep thought the past 1000 years. Most Muslims of the world know that well ... they are devoted to it each day in prayer. Like the other religions of the world, demigods have leveraged these people's religious beliefs for their own dreadful ends.
