I noticed in our fine discussion this am that you cannot both delete a comment and add a comment at the same time.

This would be fixed with this other update problem

The problem is that the delete trash cans are hyperlinks that pass data in the parameters and the add and say on comments are input type=submit that post their results to utdate. There is no obvious reason that they both cannot be form submits, probem is that clicking any one at all submit the entire form. Consequesntly the deletes would need to be raido buttons or check boxes.

One needs to think about this ...

Why is that a bug, and not just the way the system works.

Mark de LA says
it was a suprise (since i can both tag an item and write a comment at the same time). could be a faq. i will label it a gub and get on with my life (:-))

Mark de LA says
spider-monkey (for those who didn't ask)

Seth says
i think gubs suck. if you want a faq, then ask a question. i went into more detail in another comment

Mark de LA says
what other comment ?

Seth says
I think the best way is to write the faq question in the title of an item and tag the item "faq" and perhaps give it an intention "tobe answered"

Mark de LA says
In the world of QA - a bug starts out it's life logged as a bug. It can be resolved by being fixed; it can be resolved by "documenting it away" as a feature; it can be resolved by procrastination to a future release; it can be resolved by disabling the feature so that nobody will wander into it; it can be resolved by stating that it is NOT a bug; and it can be resolved by fixing it; i thought that a "gub" was cute & my way of saying that it is not a bug.

Mark de LA says
How do i do this?
give it an intention "tobe answered

Seth says
tag the item "tobe answered"

Oh i picked up on its cutness ... it is just that we do need something functional here and being functional is when somebody can frame a question and then someone later can come along and answer it. changeing the title to "gub" just intefears with that functionality.

Mark de LA says
I will accept your proposal on faqs & questions. The functionality i was aiming at was the gup tagroom being a gathering of things to explain.

Seth says
Ok i agree, tag questions into the gub room by affixing the tag "gub"] but do not change the title to "gub" rather change the title to the question. In that sense then your tag "gub" is equivalent to my tag "tobe answered" .

Mark de LA says
ok

Seth says
Well after thinkin about it a bit, i think ill go with ".to answer" ... much more memorable to someone not prevy to the private joke

Seth says
Is this a question about a potential bug or is it really a question that goes in the faq ?

Seth says
Actually this is a bug ... or when i fixi update for that other related bug i'll takje a look at this and see if i can make it work the way you expected.
