About: the way of the internet

The fastblogit river has passed the irrelevance point such that it is no longer an interesting measure of what is going on in the world of this blog. I think that the group level has now become the focus - aided & abetted by the news button. Most of this has come to pass, IMHO, because of the cartoon "network" & the level of facility of it's users. The wonderful features of fastblogit which support individual research on the web are barely useful to those brilliant linguists who can barely grunt a "yo motherfucker" or an empty bubble onto a post.  The challenge now is to cross-breed groups to the point that the dross & detritus becomes as white noise against the ripples of a well inspired & stimulated consciousness!

good point ... i have always seen the river as evolving into static ... watching it will increasingly become similar to watching white noise on a TV screen.  Most of the content of the river is driven by whomever  wanders onto the internet ... listening to that static is, at best an acquired taste, and at worst a waste of time.   The group froms the basis of any coherance or focus that you will find on the internet today.
