If you want to understand the issues brought up by this "documentary", then please watch it with the following reasoning in mind.

Common sense is just about as much help here as it is in quantum physics.

Q.E.D on both counts!

I guess a Christian mystic has no more use for quantum physics than they do for a Polar Bear.

I personally have more use for my common sense than I have for polar bears, quantum physics or Christian mystics!

Common sense is good ... don't leave home without it. But have you ever found areas where it does not apply? If not, then me thinks that you have quite a different conception of what "common sense" actually is.

Apparently FoxNews and the NYTimes have a few things to say about Gore's inconvenient movie.
I'm sure it was just nuances in his movie just like the nuances about his inventing the internet!

Re the NYTimes you may want to read the other side of the stroy here. Just like the documentary "The Great Swindle", the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth", is not meant to be a scientific treatis. These films are meant to sway hearts and minds of people who are not scientists. For my part i no longer care about this polarized debate; rather i look on global warming as an excuse for the people of the Earth to do something that it should do anyway: learn to live in balance with their environment. So called intelligent life on this planet is an explosion. Explosions end badly. The question is whether mankind has the collective wisdom to find a new balance.
