Maliki fires general in charge of Baghdad operation

I wonder what this will look like when it finally makes it way to the mainstream media.  Note that Azzaman is a Sunni oriented news outlet in Iraq.

is this anything ?
To me this item is a bookmark to follow the story.  Originally this was not the general who the US command preferred, and now he has been fired.  Azzaman says that "the operation operation to subdue Baghdad "is still on but it seems it has so far made little success", but that is not what we are hearing from other sources.

... & so where is Azzaman.com pro/con in the spectrum of a unified, democratic Iraq? (which can protect itself, sustain itself & govern itself etc.)
The LATimes is not known for proUS leanings, far from it & yet here seems to be a positive spin on the surge results.  The daily bombs & stuff seem not to be in the headlines anymore.
