It is interesting.  Years ago, when I had a world map on my wall, I used to stare at it for hours figuring out how the various continents fit nicely together like a puzzle. I think I read later that geologists say that they were all connected together at one time. Imagine if the global warming enthusiasts had been around when they separated!
Well the digital zoom project is all about adding another dimension to the sliders on the map. Sliding back to pangaea is way the fuck back.  You might be able to do it by cutting out the continents and using the tween transfromations in the flash8.
