Everything in my mind is a relationship?

(Seth 6967 comments) ... Btw, everything in your mind is a relationship and not a fact.  That may just be a semantic confusion between us or it may be a real difference in philosophical choice ... but in any case it was not brought up with the intention of showing that i am right and you are wrong.   "Doing is how facts are created" ... think about it  ... if you disagree then perhaps we could discuss it on its's own item.

... Maybe this needs to be teased out a bit. For me, consciousness is more fundamental than mind. Awareness & consciousness are roughly equivalent, with awareness having to do with self consciousness in addition to any other consciousness on the scene.  A fact is something done is a nice call by you. See the derivation in the etymology dictionary.  I usually think of a fact more like a noun or a perception by some sense;  more linguistically evoked by calling attention to something. E.g. "my watch is is there on a book on my desk".  What is going on, what is so, is more interpretation than fact; that being in agreement with Seth's bold statement about everything in my mind is a relationship.  However a relationship is a connection between some things. That seems confusing semantics when applied to the set of all things in my mind. I certainly don't feel it in relationship to the set of all things in my consciousness.  I can relate things in my consciousness or mind, but they don't seem to be related a priori.

Well, in physical space I will find cats on mats. One usually starts with perception. In the process of cognizing one makes distinctions between collections of things. For example, if I were to encounter a Seth in physical space I would probably say there is Seth who has a nose & am less likely to say there is a nose sitting on seth's face on his head sitting on his shoulders which in his torso above his belly button etc......
It's a process of making distinctions.  The prepositions on, in, & stuff describe the assembly. I don't see the relationships thus described with language as existing free standing exclusive of language. Language may call forth relationships, but I can perceive them without language just by shifting focus.

I think a better formualtion of what i was saying would be:  all relationships are in your mind.  There might be all kinds of things in your mind, some are relationships and perhaps some are not relationships.  But if it is a relationship, then it is in your mind (or somebodies mind).   Take the traditional example, "the cat is on the mat" which states a relationship between the cat and the mat ... you will not find that relationship in physical space ... in physical space you will find cats and mats distributed at verious intervals ... that "is on the mat" is a mental interpertation.
