What to do during a commercial break

NYT had this article this AM. Personally I like the DVR as the best way to preserve sanity & my own timing as opposed to the TV's timing; particularly because I can speed past the commercials.  I really like the fact that I can condense an American Idol hour into about a half-hour experience for a mere $10/month Comcast cable charge.  That's priceless way to buy back my own time. One can only take so many bathroom breaks in a hour. I think Comcast has a year free going on now.
