I doubt that is an accurate description of what happened. If my memory serves me some candidates choose not to participate in a debating forum that was being setup by Foxnews. Were they actually banned from some other debate in another venue?
I would have to be an insider to the Democrat Party political machine (which would probably turn my stomach) in order to explain why all of a sudden the candidates withdrew at once from a previously scheduled arrangement. Like Roger Ailes recently remarked "The candidates that can

the only thing I would do is put quotes around the word "banned". It doesn't make much of a difference whether it is an internal command or a public one to the results. It doesn't matter whether the candidates do it or the DNC !
