USN Chart of Puget Sound Washington Territory 1889

This small section of a U.S.Navy Chart of North West Coast of Puget Sound Washington Territory, drawn in 1889 by the US Navy is marked at $250 at Pacific Galleries Antique Mall in Centralia ... too deer for my budget.  We can see that the Duwamish River has been straightened out, that there was a Black River in 1889 and roughfly the extent of Seattle.  I made an overlay on Google Earth here.  Three Tree Point was called Pt Pully back then.  Of course Lake Washington was  bigger.

Just found out that you can transfer you google earth files to google maps just by pasting the URL of the kmz or kml file into the search box.  Even the overlays come out.   This is very useful because you can place placemarks more accurately in Google Earth, then transfer the file to maps.
