Comcast Battles EFI in Renton

We have been experiencing intermittant loss of internet connectivity in our area of Renton.  What happens is that suddenly web sites stop responding and then all lights on the cabel modem go out except power and PC activity.   Twice a technician has come to our location. Sunday they replaced the modem and the cable going to the router.  We though we had licked the problem, but then Monday it started happening again. 

After talking to this technician who was workin on the pole near my house, i finally have confidence that they will eventually find the problem and solve it.  Listen to the interview and follow the picture link to see the location and more pictures of wireing on the poles.

Update 8/2/7 - Just got a call from comcast technician saying that the problem has been fixed.  He couldn't provide any details.
