IN MEMORIAM 9/11

Too bad most of the people who care are asleep again!
John F. Kennedy won the 1960 U.S. presidential election. In his inaugural address, Kennedy made the ambitious pledge to "pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and success of liberty."

Too bad people think that we must sacrifice our cival rights and maintain a perputual state of war.
Yeah, I was counting you as one of the sleeping...all the civil rights you can lawyer-up but no country to live in!  Remember that BIll Clinton could have had BinLaden, but couldn't find any laws to hold him with so in spite of the fact that he was planning the 9/11 attacks & was responsible for embassy bombings he was left alone in Sudan do his evil.

VietNam is a thriving country now, without our "victory", and Iraq will be the same some day, also without our "victory".  This "victory" that you hanker for is just another name for a perpetual state of war.  I'm all for totally implementing the 9/11 comission's recommendations ... that is what will prevent the next 9/11.  The persuit of "victory" in Iraq is not making us safer ... rather it is providing Al Quaeda with more and more recruits.
