M$M - Media Bias

About: slashdot | skewz.com founder vipul vyas answers your questions about media bias

Now here comes something similar to some things which caused this group UnhackTheBrain to be developed.
  1. http://www.skewz.com/  - Skewz seems to be user rated
  2. http://research.microsoft.com/projects/blews/blews.aspx - Blews uses blogs for ratings.

My intent is to go farther & automated according to a set of criteria like number of unsoursed statements, completeness of the who, what, when, where, why & how components of a situation or event.

Fascinating poll demonstrating media bias & video of findings here. The uninformed electorate is apparently more important than the issues. And the media is more important than the truth of the matter. Cake & circuses anyone?

What the poll validates is voters like the one in 10760 that bought change, hope & spreading the wealth around. Accordingly Obama's advertizements & his supportive media apparently spread a lot of horseshit around & it was effective. Later some of the media like Charlie Rose & Brokow said things like we really don't know who Obama is, it's creepy, like he is a media creation.

The time for the media to find those things out was before the election!

seems to me that it demonstrates that his supporters didn't fall for McCain's negative propaganda about Obama ...
source: the biased poll

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

... next time you tout a poll trying to demonstrate bias, please factor out your own.

99.5 % of republicans could not correctly say that their mother was also their sister?  The other .5 % were from Kentuckey.
So are you saying that none of those things about Obama were true? Are we going to get into name calling again?

Not all of them are false - Obama did win his first election by getting his opponents kicked off the ballot.  Some of them have a bit of truth to them but in context are false.

Why you see partisan is because your oxe was gored with the truth!  I suppose in a one-party system there would be no partisanship in your minds because there would be no opposition. Good men can disagree over what things mean. The words partisan & hyperpartisan are just memetic n-words crafted to silence the opposition. Go to Iran, Russia or Communist China if you like the single party systems.
