To put it bluntly, the next president will be elected by white men: the outcome of Tuesday's Pennsylvania primary will depend on whether they go for Hillary or Obama, and the outcome of the general election will depend on whether enough of them vote for McCain. A lot of them will: white men cannot be relied on, as all of us know who have spent a lifetime dating them.

Look, it is not bigotry to talk about the elephant in the room. There is no doubt that some will vote against the next democratic candidate because they don't like women or because they don't like blacks. That is just a fact. Nora pointed out the obvious with a bit of a barb there to disturb white massagists. If it rubbed you the worng way, you might want to ask yourself why.

NOPE! The big fat elephant (or Donkey) in the room is the Democrat party. For years the Democrat party or more correctly LIBERALS have created the image that they are the party that champions blacks & women. They have often painted conservatives & Republicans as racist & misogynists. In fact the opposite is true from their own words provided above!

well apparently the democrats are the party to champion blacks and women as they are about to nominat one. We don't see the republicans doing that. Nora's words point out ... and rubb in ... the obvious. There is one other interesting elephant in the room. Black voters seem to be almost unamously behind Obama, but women (even white women) are not unamously behind Hillary. This tells me that it is not quite so simple as "whether people hate blacks more than they hate women". Here's one to figure out: my mother in law who is black is for hillary, but my father in law who is also black and a man (dah) is for Obama. Go figure.

IMHO, BOTH Democrat nominees are far-left leaning liberals presenting a danger to America & thus not likely to get my votes. I don't vote tribal for sex or race. I have evolved out of my tribal ancestry & roots.

Personally it wouldnt affect how i feel because there is no way that i would ever vote for a third Bush term. But there are those who say that taping Conde for the VP slot would be a too obvious pandering to race and sexism to count for anything except a big fat negative.

... so you say ... me thinks you protests too much. If recent political scandals are any measure of what people really feel, then there is one constant here that we can rely upon: self declarations of virtue are not corrolated with actual virtue.

What protest? I exposed the Dems for racists & misogynists. I am protesting nothing. Let the chips fall where they may. If you want to vote for a racist that is your right. I would never vote for someone because they are of a particular race or because they are of a particular sex. I probably would not vote for a transgender simply because they are already confused. I am not declaring any particular virtue because of this.
