The ability to edit HTML has finally been suppressed on the /add/ screen

About: the add screen

Allowing just anyone to the HTML of items is a bad idea:

They can make mistakes and break the screen and feeds
It is a security risk
We lose any overall control of the style of display
Most people don't want to learn to do it anyway

is missed. The great unwashed will not use nor want it. I suspect few will even use the RTE. As long as the RTE is maintained so that an advertisement can be artistically designed, I see no problem. I suspect future requests for featrues rather than HTML can be entertained rather than opening this up.

soon you will not be able to put html in this box , hense you will not be able to make that kind of mistake. I plan to put a blockquote style in the rte. Perhaps even a edit comment. What i do is to type the first letter of the comment that i just made, then usually the browser suggests what i entered and i click that into the box and edit it there. Then i delete the old comment.

Will your approach to put it as text or flush the entire item. Can you just pass it on as text ?
